Sydney Food Trailers is an Australian business (ABN 23 677 535 385) that designs, manufactures and supplies food trailers, coolroom trailers and related equipment from our workshop at 46 Wellington Road, Chester Hill NSW 2142.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary to quote on, build and deliver your trailer, operate our website and comply with our legal obligations. This may include:

• Identity & contact details — name, email address, phone number, delivery address, business name and ABN.
• Build enquiry details — trailer type, equipment preferences, intended use, sketches or plans you send us.
• Finance pre qualification details — where you apply for finance through a partner lender, we pass the information you provide to that lender; we do not collect or store bank account details, credit card numbers or government identifiers ourselves.
• Transaction details — invoice records, deposits, progress payments and balance payments (handled through our accounting software and bank).
• Website usage data — pages viewed, device type, approximate location (from IP), referral source and basic interaction data, collected through cookies and analytics (see Section 7).

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

3. How We Collect It

We collect information directly from you when you fill out our contact or quote form, subscribe to our newsletter, email us, call us, message us on WhatsApp, visit our showroom or place an order. We may also collect information from referrers, finance partners (with your consent) and from publicly available sources such as ABN Lookup.

4. How We Use It

We use your personal information to:

• Respond to enquiries, prepare quotes and provide customer service.
• Build, deliver and support your trailer, including warranty service and aftercare.
• Process payments and maintain financial records.
• Refer you to finance partners where you ask us to.
• Send you newsletters, build updates and promotional information (only where you have opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time).
• Improve our website, products and services.
• Comply with our legal, tax and regulatory obligations.

5. Who We Disclose It To

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:

• Our staff, contractors and build partners who help us deliver your trailer.
• Accredited finance partners where you have asked us to arrange finance.
• Freight providers for interstate delivery.
• Professional advisers (accountants, lawyers, auditors) and insurers.
• Software service providers we use to run the business (email, accounting, CRM, web analytics) — these may host data in Australia, New Zealand, the United States or the European Union.
• Government agencies and regulators where we are required or authorised by law.

6. Storage & Security

We store personal information in a combination of paper records (secured at our showroom) and digital records (held on password protected business systems with industry standard encryption in transit and at rest). We take reasonable steps to protect information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure, though no online transmission or storage method is 100% secure.

We keep records only for as long as we need them for the purposes above, or as required by Australian tax, warranty and consumer protection laws — usually at least 7 years after your last transaction with us.

7. Cookies & Analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, measure traffic and help us understand how people use the site. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.

8. Direct Marketing

If you subscribe to our newsletter or opt in to updates, we may send you information about new builds, in stock trailers, pricing changes and events. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us at info@sydneyfoodtrailers.com.au to opt out at any time.

9. Accessing & Correcting Your Information

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to request corrections if it is inaccurate or out of date. We will respond within a reasonable time (usually 30 days) and won't charge a fee, unless the request is unusually resource intensive.

To make a request, contact us using the details in Section 11 below. We may need to verify your identity before releasing information.

10. Complaints

If you think we've mishandled your personal information, please contact us first and we'll do our best to resolve the issue. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

2. Website Use

All content on this website — including text, photos, renders, layouts, logos and code — is owned by or licensed to Sydney Food Trailers and protected by Australian and international copyright laws. You may view and share links to our pages for personal or business enquiry purposes, but you must not copy, republish, modify or commercially exploit our content without our prior written consent.

We do our best to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but we don't warrant that everything is error free or currently available. Specifications, inclusions and pricing are indicative and may change without notice. Always confirm details in writing in your quote before relying on them.

3. Quotes

Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise. Quoted prices are in Australian dollars and include GST unless clearly marked otherwise. A quote is an invitation to treat and does not create a binding contract until a deposit is paid and we confirm your build slot in writing.

4. Orders & Deposits

To place an order, you will need to:

• Sign off on a final written spec (inclusions, finishes, dimensions, delivery date).
• Pay a non refundable deposit of 30% of the total contract price.
• Pay progress payments at agreed milestones (typically at chassis completion and pre delivery).
• Pay the balance before pickup, freight dispatch or registration, whichever comes first.

Orders are scheduled into our build queue on receipt of cleared deposit funds. We reserve the right to adjust build timelines where supply chain delays, weather events or other events beyond our reasonable control affect our showroom.

5. Changes to Your Build

We'll do our best to accommodate spec changes after deposit, but:

• Changes made before chassis weld up are usually straightforward — any cost impact will be quoted in writing before we proceed.
• Changes after chassis weld up may incur additional labour, materials and re scheduling fees.
• We cannot refund deposits against materials that have already been ordered or work already completed.

6. Pricing, GST & Payment

All prices are quoted in Australian dollars and include GST unless otherwise stated. We accept bank transfer (preferred), major debit/credit cards (surcharges may apply) and approved asset finance. Title in the trailer passes to you only once the full contract price has been received in cleared funds.

7. Delivery & Risk

Unless otherwise agreed, delivery takes place at our Chester Hill showroom. If we arrange freight, we do so as your agent with a third party carrier — title and risk in the trailer pass to you at the point of dispatch. Delivery dates are good faith estimates and not guarantees. We are not liable for losses caused by late delivery except where required by Australian Consumer Law.

8. Warranty

Our trailers come with the warranty set out on our Warranty page. Third party appliances and components carry their own manufacturer warranties. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

9. Consumer Guarantees & Liability

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, and other than for the consumer guarantees above, our liability for any loss arising from or in connection with your use of our website, the supply of a trailer or any breach of these Terms is limited to, at our election: (a) replacement of the goods; (b) repair of the goods; or (c) refund of the price paid for the goods. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential or economic loss (including loss of profit, revenue or goodwill).

10. Finance

Where you apply for finance through one of our partner lenders, the loan is between you and the lender directly — we act as an introducer only and are not a credit provider. Approval is at the lender's discretion and subject to their own terms. We recommend you review the lender's disclosure documents carefully and obtain independent advice if you are unsure.

11. Privacy

Our collection and use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

12. Force Majeure

Neither party is liable for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond their reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, freight delays, supply chain disruption, fire, flood, or acts of government. Where such an event affects a build, we will notify you promptly and work with you to reschedule.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales for any dispute arising from these Terms or any trailer supplied by us.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page, with the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes to terms affecting an in progress build will be discussed with you directly before taking effect.

Your kitchen layout is the backbone of your operation. We work with you to design a layout that suits the way you cook, prep and serve, whether that's a high-volume burger line, a boutique espresso setup or a multi-station catering build. Every bench, shelf and appliance position is planned to maximise space, speed and safety.

We can install any equipment you need, including commercial fryers, charcoal grills, bain-maries, cool rooms, espresso machines, rangehoods and exhaust fans, gas systems, sinks and water tanks. If it fits your menu, we'll fit it in your trailer.

First impressions matter. We offer full signage and vinyl wrap services so your trailer stands out from day one. Whether you want a bold full-wrap design, a clean logo treatment or eye-catching LED strip lighting for night markets and festivals, we'll build it into your spec from the start.

LED lighting can be fitted internally for better visibility in the kitchen, externally for customer-facing impact, or both. We can install illuminated menu boards, under-counter accent lights, roof-mounted floods and awning downlights, all wired into your trailer's electrical system and ready to go on delivery.

Before we cut a single piece of steel, you'll receive a detailed 3D render of your trailer showing the full layout, equipment placement, bench positions and exterior finish. This gives you the chance to make changes on screen before manufacturing begins, so there are no surprises at handover.

Our design process is collaborative. We'll go back and forth with you until the spec is exactly right, and only once you've signed off on the 3D drawing do we lock in your build slot and begin production.

Every custom trailer we build meets full Australian Design Rules (ADR) standards and is delivered with all documentation required for registration and council approval. We supply gas certificates, electrical certificates, ventilation specs and surface-material schedules, everything your local council and the NSW Food Authority need to see.

Our trailers are built to Australian standards with engineer-certified chassis, commercial-grade stainless steel interiors and compliant gas and electrical systems. We take the compliance headache off your plate so you can focus on getting your business open.

Once you've approved your 3D design and paid the deposit, your trailer enters our build queue. Most custom builds are completed within 6 weeks, depending on fitout complexity. We'll keep you updated with progress photos throughout the build and you're welcome to visit our Chester Hill workshop at any stage to see your trailer taking shape.

Available in sizes from 2.4m through to 6m+, with single or dual axle options. We'll recommend the right size for your menu, your tow vehicle and the sites you plan to operate from.
